Golden Door sponsors this year´s MISS BALEARS contest and will be part of the jury (as well at the male contest for MISTER BALEAR!). Especially the 25th of July should be remarked as on this day the personality test for all MISS candidates will take place at restaurant Sazón where all competitors will present themselves in front of the entire jury. This Sunday - the day of the most important football game this year: European championship final Germany against Spain. We at Provenzal will celebrate every German goal with free beer and every Spanish goal with free sangria.

For this very special occasion Golden Door has advanced the restaurants equipment with a television to offer the game live on the screen in the bar area of the location.

Grupo Golden Door joins the forces of Awesome Global Events S.L. and One Mallorca S.L. in order to deliver the biggest international concert at Mallorca this summer. Simply Red will play on the 3rd of August at the bullring in Palma de Mallorca.

Grupo Golden Door is excited to support the production team with various services:

• Promotion: Golden Door delivers support to sell the event within the German media market
  
• Ticket sales: all Golden Door restaurants are ticket sales points for all three ticket categories (Standing 48 EUR, Seated 55 EUR, VIP 125 EUR, Lounge 2500 EUR)

During the following weeks Grupo Golden Door will support several events initiated by Mallorca 95,8-Das Inselradio. The first event will take place tomorrow, Sunday, 18th of May and contains an excursion to on of the unknown beauties of Mallorca. The finca of Ben Jakober near to Alcudia where his sculptures are displayed surrounded by a beautiful finca parc. Grupo Golden Door prepared a delicious lunch package for all travellers including baguette, sweets and adrink.

The following activity will be the Inselradio golf tournament hold on the 7th of June 2008 at the golf course at Andratx/Camp de Mar. There all players will be treated with a light breakfast at the club house and a delicious lunch break at the halfway house. As well the popular Golden Door cooling care packages will be provided.

With Christoph and Cube Golden Door will present two very special guests in cuisine and service of the restaurant Sazón during the following week.

One part of a new TV production of one of the very popular German reality soaps centred around ?starting a new life and career in a foreign country? was shot last Friday, 28th of March, in the Golden Door restaurant Sazón. The stories evolves around 2 very proactive and inspired young men from Vienna, professionals in the gastronomy industry and combining very remarkable talent in "service and cuisine". Currently they are searching for more responsibility and challenge outside of their country of origin and made their way to Golden Door!

During the following days they will continue proving their talent at the Majorcan "Golden Door flag ship" restaurant Sazón, at C/.Apuntadores, 4 in Palma/La Lonja.

Sazón opened wide its doors and offers all guests additional culinary delights created by Christoph and perfectly presented by Cube ? of course with a generous portion of the typical "charm Viennese".

This restaurant situated between C/. Sant Joan and Plaza Drassena was earlier a part of Sazón and known under the name of Sazonito. Now name and concept were changed.

From the culinary point of view Sambal offers home-made pasta, fresh salads and other Italian delicacies. The presentation is very similar to an Italian trattoria ? where groups of people enjoy the real Italian feeling at long tables with huge bowls of steaming pasta and salads and good red and white wines.

The interior decoration consists of the lower part of the restaurant with 30 seats and the gallery upstairs holding another 20 seats. The whole restaurant is dominated by the enormous chandelier and the beautiful entrance doors.
The service highlights typical Italian hospitality and with its initiative and cordiality provides a very comfortable and cosy feeling to each individual guest.
This mixture promises a memorable experience to everyone finding his/her way to Sambal.

At Sambal Golden Door offers a lunch menu holding three courses, bread and wine or water for the price of 9,50 EURO between 12:30 and 16 hrs each working day. This program varies on a daily basis and is announced at the entrance bill boards every morning.

Other news refer to the Italian Sunday brunch from 11 until 16 hrs each Sunday offering Italian warm and cold breakfast delicacies for the price of 13 EUR.
Within this varied program everyone finds his/her share and with some luck also experiences Paulino ? our very popular singer at Provenzal ? who grants his presence during some evenings or midday also to the Sambal audience.

With beginn of the season we widen our offer with a lunch menu at our restaurant Sambal.
Until now a late lunch from 15h is already possible at Provenzal, C. Apuntadores, 3. This for sure is even for the Spanish habits a late lunch.
Starting with March a good and fast lunch menu will be served. The menu varies every week but hightlights good pasta and salad combinations.
